The most common question I get is “what is a Porter?”
Is it a stout? Is it a brown ale? None of the above but sort of a little of all of the above. One of the most widely interpreted styles in craft beer, Porter can be everything from resembling a light brown ale to being closer to an Imperial Stout with it’s Baltic varieties. A Robust Porter is generally Porter’s stronger, more (you guessed it!) Robust sibling. Featuring bigger notes of roast, caramel, and baker’s chocolate, Dark Oast brings out the characteristics of a big porter in a very drinkable format. We also brewed this with wheat and rye grown right here onsite. The rye backs up the roasted flavors with a clean grain spice.
